Payment methods
Currencies by country
The currency field of /payin and /payout requests must contain the currency of the transaction's country (country_code), as listed in this table.

For a payin as well as a payout, the API checks that currency matches the transaction's country. That country is derived from the payment method prefix (WAVE_CI → CI); otherwise country_code is used. If the currency does not match, the request is rejected with the error Currency not valid for this country, expected XOF (the expected currency is given), see Errors.
Payment method codes
The payment_method field takes a code specific to each operator and country. The code is not the same for a payin and a payout (except for Côte d'Ivoire methods, which use the same one).

Good to know
- Enabled per account. A payment method only works if it is enabled on your merchant account. Otherwise the API answers
Marchand not have provider. Ask your MoyaPay representative to enable it. - Orange Money Côte d'Ivoire (
OM_CI). For a payin, theotp_codefield is required: it is the one-time code the customer generates from their Orange Money account. - Redirection (Wave, among others). For some methods the response contains a
